Job DescriptionUsing discretion and independent judgment, the Physical Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers and directs physical therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, regulations and guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. The Physical Therapist adheres to the professional standards of practice guidelines and code of ethics as set forth by the state Board of Physical Therapy. This position requires the ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with patients, personnel and outside agencies. This position requires the ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within the facility. Must be willing to accept management and administrative responsibility at times.
