Positive Behavior Support Specialist

We are currently seeking a Positive Behavior Support Specialist for the remainder of the school year (through June 10, 2008) in the St. Aemilian-Lakeside Day Treatment Program to provide positive behavioral support to students.  Responsibilities include active behavior management throughout the school and in classrooms, assistance in the development and implementation of behavior management plans, successful management of student behavior within the productive thinking room, expertise in use of approved Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques,  create and maintain database of student behaviors including monthly reports of productive thinking room referrals and behavioral incidents.

 

Position requires a high school diploma or GED.  Bachelor’s degree in social work, special education or community mental health preferred. Previous experience working with students with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities.
