Practice Manager I / 08-14897

Position Description:

The Practice Manager reports to a Director of Practice Management and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the medical practice to ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective, high quality patient care. The Manager recruits, hires and oversees the training and orientation for all clinical and clerical staff and provides ongoing supervision and evaluation of clerical support staff. The ongoing supervision and evaluation of clinical staff is shared with the physicians in the practice. Administrative responsibilities include tracking monthly clinical statistics, overseeing Epic billing and collection functions, maximizing patient flow and optimizing the work environment to facilitate open communications and professional excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent management/work experience is required.Minimum three to five (3-5) years medical office management experience preferred.Practice management/billing experience preferred.Must possess strong understanding of practice management/medical office procedures.Excellent communication skills and demonstrated organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills a must.Must be organized and detail-oriented.Ability to work towards specific goals and objectives and provide recommendations for improvement. Knowledge of computers, specifically healthcare, word-processing and spreadsheet applications.
