Job Description JOB SUMMARYThis position designs and develops Magellan’s state of-the-art products and services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; conceptualizing, translating market research and needs, mobilizing design teams, implementing and launching new products and enhancements. Position is also responsible for interpreting product performance in conjunction with operating business units and clinical/quality, formal reviews to determine opportunities for improvement in product design and specifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Translates market and customer need into new products, new product features or program enhancements or restructuring of existing products and leverages creativity to design products where new markets can be created • Conducts literature reviews to support product design with evidence base practices and national guidelines, builds out detailed product content and manages consultant SMEs and pulls in internal SMEs as appropriate to support content build-out • Monitor performance of existing products by conducting analyses in conjunction with clinical/quality, ASD, AEs and Ops including, but not limited to, sales and renewals, utilization, vendor relationships, costs and margins, market share, clinical and health status outcomes, satisfaction. Develop recommendations to senior SBU team to improve performance and iterates product as required • Works with project manager to create product manuals and other product related documentation • Works with ops/implementation team to implement product to specification • Provides training to account and sales team • Works with departments such as quality, clinical ops and legal to insure all that all policy, accreditation, regulatory and compliance requirements are met NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform other duties as assigned by the VP Product Innovation MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: BA/BS Field(s) of study: Health care related Experience: 5-8yrs. Industry: Managed or Behavioral Care Job Specific: Experience in the coordination of and collaboration of work teams and a proven track record of success while working in any of the following functional areas: Product Management and Development, Program Operations Other: A proven track record of results and a results orientation; Experience in the design, management, and implementation of products including the coordination and integration of all primary business functions; Must possess strong organizational, consultation and analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Computer Skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel desired. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelors preferred in clinical studies. Masters preferred in Business Administration, Management, health services Policy or Administration, or clinical studies. Experience: Experience in behavioral health or care management field.
