Product Manager - Clinical

Collaborates with marketing, the design and usability team, the technology and content development teams, and quality assurance to ensure the solution(s) delivered to market meet the requirements and expectations established by the market. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Understands the market and clinical workflow; aligns development resources to deliver solutions to meets end user needs. Contributes to the development of business cases addressing market opportunities; coordinates development plans and schedules. Collaborates with technical and editorial teams to identify functional and technical specifications based on business cases; prioritizes development requirements. Works with design and usability team to develop wire frames, use case/scenarios. Monitors the solution development progress; iterates solution requirements with technology, editorial, and quality assurance to ensure customer needs, schedule, and budgets are met. Collaborates with marketing on go-to-market plans. Monitors performance of solutions in the market based on customer and sales response. Identifies enhancements and works with marketing to secure investment. Prepares and manages solution documentation for technical and customer support teams with client services. Understands market trends and technology advancements; incorporates knowledge into product plans. Conceptualize new products for development based on market awareness and research. Assist in the management and development of unassigned products or solutions to support colleagues. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required; Master’s degree in business preferred. Clinical degree desirable. Two to five years of product management experience or related experience; preferably in a healthcare- or technology-related industry.  Experience working in a clinical or hospital-setting preferred. General knowledge of product management, marketing, and financial concepts. Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence others and resolve conflict. Strong organizational and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver results. Basic understanding of technology and its use in the healthcare market; understanding of clinical workflow and processes preferred. Ability to travel to customer and prospect sites, as well as trade shows.  The H-1B visa cap has been fulfilled for fiscal year 2008 which begins October 1, 2007 and therefore Thomson Reuters is unable to sponsor new (first-time) H-1B visas.
