We serve a diverse customer base within the health care community, including health care payers, providers, employers, pharmaceutical companies, consumers, workers’ compensation and auto liability insurers, and government agencies. Responsible for full life-cycle definition, development, execution, and launch of Ingenix’s Subrogation, Injury Coverage Coordination and Hospital Bill Audit offerings within Ingenix’s Payment Assurance team. Responsible for providing definition, direction, and leadership to all members of the product team, including business analysts, project managers, product marketing, sales support, and operations. Full responsibility (in close collaboration with functional leads and senior management) for product definition, development schedules, risk managment and product launch. Position requires significant relevant experience in conceiving, developing, and launching major products as a product manager. Comprehensive experience as a business leader is essential, particularly in the areas of Sales (new business), as well as Mergers and Acquisitions. Additional experience in combining services into new products and markets is ideal. Strong communication skills (especially written skills) are a must. Must be able to understand and anticipate market and customer needs, and bridge requirements to practical activities and successful product launch. The Director of Product Management will be an active participant in developing product strategy, market strategy, and business strategy with the senior management team. Responsible to develop collaborative relationships and programs with other Ingenix and UHG subsidiaries - Identifies critical service and system customer needs, market differentiators and product enhancements - Serve as the key product expert in support of sales and marketing to drive and close new business opportunities- Collaborate on product and pricing, operational, marketing, and financial initiatives BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or Finance (or related field), or 5+ years equivalent experience in the product management / development industry (MBA preferred) Experience in subrogation or healthcare claim administration Demonstrated leadership role in conceiving, specifying, and delivering major products to market, preferably in the healthcare space Experience with the entire product development lifecycle, as well as leading the business development function and working with the M+A process Strong technical skills with demonstrated capability to command the respect of both technical teams and business teams. A proven ability to take informed risks, make difficult business decisions, and communicate impact of such decisions to ensure buy-in, as well as timely results; additional skills combining and marketing services into new and existing products are desired Intimate knowledge of people management skills; particularly influence management, risk management/mitigation and financial analysis. General knowledge of operations General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data such as product income statements, return on investment analysis, net-present value analysis. Demonstrated ability to lead product management initiatives in a matrixed environment Leadership skills Customer service focus Outstanding oral and written communication skills High ethical standards Ability to interact with individuals in all levels of the organization.
