Program Administrator, Rehabilitation Services

Position Information The Program Administrator is responsible for the executive direction of the 25-bed freestanding, inpatient rehabilitation hospital.  Services offered include, but are not limited to, stroke, spinal cord, traumatic brain injuries, occupational and recreational therapies.   Reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services for the health system. Qualified candidates will be master’s prepared individuals with previous management experience in rehabilitation.  Strong program development and relationship building skills are a must.  Rehabilitation certification a plus.  Hospital Information Mercy Medical is Joint Commission accredited, is one of the largest private employers in South Alabama and operates the areas only licensed acute rehabilitation hospital.  Services offered include a state-of-the art memory care community, two lifecare retirement communities, three assisted living communities, and home health.  The Rehabilitation Hospital is a dedicated and fully equipped therapeutic facility. The hospital treats patients recovering from sudden or traumatic illness, injury or multiple health problems who need intensive rehabilitation in a hospital setting.  Community Information This growing community has a population of 18,000, is a unique locale where residents preserve the area's heritage and breathtaking beauty, and maintains the ambience of a small town where the people are friendly and caring with all of the conveniences of larger cities nearby.   The city has earned a reputation for pristine beauty, reputable schools and recreational opportunities which span land, rivers and bays.
