Extendicare Health Services Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Extendicare Inc., and is a major provider of long-term care and rehabilitation services in the United States.  Extendicare Health Services owns and/or operates 148 long-term care facilities with capacity for 14,882 residents.   Program Consultant POSITION SUMMARY:   Conducts sales and service functions for UHF Purchasing Services member facilities.    PHYSICALACTIVITIES*:  Standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, lifting. MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS: PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:  Ability to lift 20 lbs.  EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required.  Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field preferred. EXPERIENCE:  Two to three years of outside sales or customer service experience required.  Health care or long-term care background preferred  SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:   Excellent communication and problem solving skills.  Must be able to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.  Ability to speak in and understand complex sentences.  Ability to read, write and understand simple sentences.  Ability to take information and transfer to another party.  Experience working with Excel and Word.  Ability to do some overnight travel. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  1.  Visit/service existing facility members.  This includes reviewing invoices, doing cost comparisons, meeting with decision makers, and conducting in-services.  Meet with facility administrators, Nursing Directors and other department heads.2.  Prepare correspondence/comparisons and follow-ups.3.  Communicate with vendors regularly.4.  Work with other related company services to grow business.5.  Add new members by marketing and by doing cost analysis.6.  Attend conventions and trade shows.7.  Assist the facility in correction of any problems they may have with UHF vendors to assist in the process of vendor selection.8.  Make joint calls on member facilities with contract vendors to help gain additional business for UHF vendors within the UHF membership base.9.  Prospect for new members and schedule sales call appointments, conduct sales presentations, and effectively close sales to qualified prospects. APPLY ON LINE AT WWW.EXTENDICARE.COM OR EMAIL RESUMES TO BCHRISTMAN@EXTENDICARE.COM   Company: Extendicare Health Services Location: US-WI-Milwaukee Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Sales/Retail/Business Development Relevant Work Experience: 1+ to 2 Years Career Level: Entry Level Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
