The Garden Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is an affiliated program of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ School of Osteopathic Medicine and is part of the Education Department of South Jersey Healthcare. Garden AHEC works to improve the delivery of healthcare services through high-quality, certified, innovative and cost-effective educational offerings that focus on identified needs of health providers and the communities they serve.

Program Coordinator - Garden Area Health Education Center Manager, Bridgeton, NJ, Part-Time, Day Shift
• Plan, develop and coordinate special events, programs, projects and other educational offerings on Childhood Obesity topics 
• Develop partnership to highlight the issue of Childhood Obesity and to promote healthy family lifestyles
• Assist Garden AHEC Director on Special Childhood Obesity projects

A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 or more years experience in Public Health, Education, Marketing and/or Healthcare preferred
• Communication skills
• Experience in events planning and meeting facilitation
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task and adhere to varying timelines
• Assessment design and program evaluation experience preferred
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Electronic Layout and Design programs
• Marketing and budget management experience a plus
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Background in nutrition and/or health education a plus with experience in facilitating community programs relating to healthy lifestyles
