Sr. Clinical Support Systems Specialist (Project Manager), Pharmacy and Lab – 2 New Openings!

 Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supporting implementation and/or support of assigned healthcare information systems in Pharmacy.  Responsibilities including serving as the senior point of contact with clinical/business areas who are the primary users of the information system, leading standard implementation approaches, conducting or leading analysis on workflows and system tailoring needs, assessing hardware upgrade needs, and overall coordination of team activities.  The Senior Application Specialist provides deep application understanding, and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude in defining and supporting appropriate technology uses for the assigned business/clinical areas. Clinical or healthcare operations work experience in pharmacy preferred.

 

Required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business or other related field; or approved equivalent combination of training and experience The equivalent combination of education, training, application/hardware support, hardware/software installation projects and hospital/clinic operation experience may be substitutedMinimum of 3 years experience in implementing and/or supporting software applications, preferably in a healthcare provider organizationExpert-level capabilities in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OutlookStrong analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills

 

Additional Desired:Expertise in project management, process evaluation for pharmacy operations and clinical services, technical capabilities, pharmacy automation (automatic dispensing machines such as Pyxis and Omnicell; robotics such as Swiss log; and inventory management such as McKesson Carousel; and Epic EMR systems) and functionality associated with pharmacy information systemsExperience in supporting Drug Master Files Experience supporting and implementing complex projects that requires assistance with coordination of resourcesExperience in leading small teams or projectsClinical or healthcare operations work experience in pharmacy.
