Link Computer Corporation has immediate opening for Project Manager. Client is open to direct full time hiring or contract to hire. Client has a variety of locations and if you do not live within an area or state with a company facility, they will entertain people living remote but willing to travel to client sites as needed. We need a senior level resource who can hit the ground running. The skill sets need to include hands on experience with MS Project at an advanced level, as well as experience facing off with client executives. We are looking for a PM with experience in objective status assessment using earned value techniques and proven success in managing scope. They need to be able to articulate how they have successfully interacted with clients to
resolve issues, mitigate project risk and communicate hard messages such as schedule slippage and/or cost increases.
The Senior Project Leader is responsible for delivering project(s) on schedule and within budget, while satisfying agreed-upon customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the project. Responsible for the appropriateness, quality, and timeliness of all aspects of the project, manages the production of project estimates, develops project schedule, establishes measures and milestones, tracks ongoing project progress, and establishes a project office as required. Mobilizes necessary resources, assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate project resources, and provides guidance and direction to project team members.
Proactively manages risks, issues, and scope through out the project life cycle, prepares/presents project plans/status reports to organizational leadership, project teams and client/customer groups. Manages all project management work product for assigned projects and achieves contractual commitments related to quality, cost, and schedule. Monitors progress, challenges assumptions, identifies problems/issues, mitigates issues, maintains applicable account relationships, ensures appropriate communication and addresses escalated issues.
Updates the project financial actuals and projections (resource allocations and project revenue / expenditures) in the appropriate system. Reconciles financials to actuals weekly/monthly. Prepares accurate and complete weekly and monthly status reports on a timely basis in compliance with policies and procedures. Facilitates formal meetings/workshops/training.
Ensures deliverables are completed accurately, timely and in accordance with quality standards. Educates and coaches employees on best practices, policies and procedures. Ensures correct/up-to-date information is communicated and shared. Uses appropriate tools, processes, business practices and demonstrates excellence in teamwork through collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Other Key Skill Requirements : MS Project Schedule experience - build, baseline, track & update schedules. Earned Value Reporting - ability to set up & manage estimation - widget & function point Project Management Planning. Ability to interpret and translate business terms of contract / product vision into project management deliverables. Project Change Control Project Issue Management Project Risk Management Monthly/Weekly. Status Reporting Delivery Assurance Policy and Procedures. Meeting Management/facilitation tools & processes. Win-win negotiating techniques and executive business acumen.
Quality Assurance Models Knowledge : Software Engineering Institute's (SEI), Capability Maturity Model (CMMI), Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge (PMIBOK), Six Sigma, DMAIC methodology and metrics, High Performance & Virtual Team techniques and best practices, Process Mapping, Total Quality Management (TQM) and Process Management best practices.
Required Skills Requires 5 years of healthcare project management experience with large projects. Must be able to effectively interact with executives. Must be able to travel 50%.
Desired Skills Prefer healthcare experience. Prefer a MBA or other related degree. Prefer completion of PMP certification or in process of completion.
