Responsibilities: The PSYCHIATRIC NURSE provides skilled psych nursing as well as care coordination to a client base dealing with psychiatric and substance abuse issues. The mental health visit nurse coordinates the care of the patient through collaboration with the Care Team Manager and/or ADCS. He/she works under the direct supervision of the designated supervisor. Qualifications: ~CB~ Date Posted 3/20/2008 Registered Nurse with a Master's degree with a specialty in psychiatric or mental health nursing and licensed in the state where practicing would qualify. The RN must have nursing experience (recommended in the last three years) in an acute treatment unit of a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program or other outpatient psychiatric services OR Registered Nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing and licensed in the state where practicing would qualify. The RN must have one year of recent experience (recommended in the last three years) in an acute treatment unit in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, partial hospitalization program or other outpatient psychiatric services;OR Registered Nurse with a diploma or Associate degree in nursing and licensed in the state where practicing would qualify. The RN must have two years of recent nursing experience (recommended within the last three years) in an acute treatment unit of a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program or other outpatient psychiatric services
