Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Specialist

 

The Wilmington Family Counseling Service has a 40-year history of provding quality mental health services to the local community. Experience staff of 23 serving over 1300 clients a year. Collegial atmosphere with workable, motivated client base.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct medication evaluations and prescribe medication for outpatient psychotherapy clients with variety of diagnoses. Experience with children and adolescents preferred. Initial evaluations are scheduled for 1 hour and follow-up appointments for 20 minutes. Supervision by experienced psychiatrist provided.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed psychiatric nurse, clinical specialist, or licensed nurse practitioner. Minimum 3 years post-degree experience in outpatient setting.  

 

Position is part-time 4-6 hours a week
Psychotherapy position also available and could be combined with these responsibilites at different rate of pay.  See add under Psychotherapist.
