Psychologist / Clinical Director

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director provides support to the Executive Director for all clinical supervision and program management in the areas of mental health services. 

This position is full-time.

Primary Responsibilities:

Administrative:

•  Draft and submit for administrative approval service policies, agency protocol, clinical procedures, and written standards of care;
•  Provide clinical supervision as well as program management;
•  Account for compliance and accomplishment of program goals;
•  Review and proactively update all clinical requirements re: insurance, state licensure, record-keeping, and client eligibility;
•  Complete program reports, outcome studies, client surveys, and ongoing evaluation of treatment appropriateness;
•  Conduct clinical chart reviews and provide direction for improvement;
•  Develop, institute, and monitor clinical performance improvement projects.

Clinical:

•  Provide participating clients with individual, group, and family counseling;
•  Become competent in clinical provision of Positive Psychology;
•  Maintain clinical integrity of Positive Psychology as the organization’s primary therapeutic focus;
•  Recruit and train clinical staff and volunteers;
•  Provide direct support and supervision of clinical staff and volunteers;
•  Provide and document organizational clinical trainings and supervision;
•  Provide yearly written evaluations of assigned staff, following established agency protocol.

External:

•  Represent the organization’s clinical program within external professional community;
•  Participate in professionally relevant associations, trainings, planning groups, and networks;
•  Act as clinical liaison to outside behavioral health facilities, area schools, community agencies, and men’s groups networking;
•  Serve on agency committees and in professional organizations when requested;
•  Engage in public speaking opportunities, trainings, and relevant promotional activities.

Miscellaneous:

•  Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

•  A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Clinical Counseling, MFT, or related field;
•  Registered and licensed counselor able to supervise counseling interns;
•  Must hold independent professional malpractice insurance;
•  5 years experience in clinical counseling, with increasing responsibilities, duties, or positions;
•  Interest, commitment, and professional development in Positive Psychology;
•  A background check may be required if a job offer is made.
