QA Test Analyst - Permanent fulltime traveling opportunity

Location: 80111 Employment Type: Full Time, Employee Reference Code: QA/Test  **MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT**Description: The QA Test Analyst will have working knowledge of either Mercury QTP or Compuware TestPartner. This candidate should have tool related scripting experience with Web based, Citrix, and ODBC applications. Responsible for developing the design and implementation of test plans and the execution of tests for all products during project engagements. Responsible for gathering metrics and publishing test results for project engagements across the Professional Services organization Works with Engineering's other software development teams as needed. Functions: • Plan and direct the activities of the software testers. • Develop test scenarios for software products using business knowledge, requirements, and design documents. • Create test plans from scenarios; this may include conceptualizing and developing functionality requirements. • Participate in reviews and audits of product requirements, specifications, designs, code, and test plans related to the SDLC. • Direct and review staff testing and record results on client engagements (new versions and service packs). • Identify and report quality assurance, testing issues, and defects. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education & Work Experience: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent or minimum seven years work related experience. Required: 5 years of experience in a consulting role Experience managing a team of software quality test engineers or equivalent staff. Experience participating in quality assurance activities and/or testing for an enterprise application. Experience planning tests from requirements, specifications, and software design documents and experience designing effective test scripts from these plans. Experience reporting, tracking, and testing product defects and the related procedures and tools. Preferred: • Five plus years experience testing, developing, or using software for the health care industry; such as systems for health plan administration or claims payment. • Experience creating, maintaining, and executing tests using Mercury's Quality Center or TestDirector or equivalent product. • Experience using test automation tools and developing automation processes. • Experience creating automated testing subsystems. • Experience using SQL Server Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer. • Experience participating in quality assurance and testing activities throughout the entire SDLC Travel - up to 25%.
