This is a 6 month contract position with our client in Nashville, TN. Description:  This position is in the IT-ROPS (Billing and Collections Applications) team. The primary responsibility of the QA Analyst is to participate in Requirements/Design/Code reviews, develop test plans, test cases, automate tests, execute tests, track defects, identify risks, and communicate status to ensure that IT-ROPS meets specified business requirements.  The QA Analyst is also expected to identify opportunities to improve the development and QA processes. The QA Analyst supports several products and projects and often works with personnel in other departments to complete assignments and is expected to become the functional expert on these products. Job Functions:1. Review requirements and design documents to ensure adequate understanding to develop test cases.2. Develop product based testing strategies3. Determine test environment and test data requirements4. Develop test plans and cases based on various levels of requirements details5. Estimate effort required to perform QA activities6. Document and elevate risks when appropriate7. Develop automated test cases based on value and return on investment8. Execute tests, track defects, and perform root cause analysis 9. Mine for data, backend validation, and perform data quality analysis via SQL10. Provide recommendations to streamline and improve processes11. Mentor co-workers of the proper application of automated tests within a structured QA approach (QA Automation)12. Educate others outside of QA on the value of a structured QA approach13. Document status and final reports for QA activities14. Coordinate and communicate with IT resources across the US to complete assigned projectsQA Analyst - Qualifications/Skills Required:1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience2. 5+ years of experience in structured QA practices3. Strong analytical skills4. Proficiency in requirements analysis and reviews5. Expert knowledge and skills in developing test plans and test cases6. Excellent documentation skills Well versed with various types of testing in various environments. Ability to interact with developers and understand technical design.9. Good understanding of database design and experience writing SQL queries.10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills11. Experience and skills in mentoring co-workers12. Experience in educating others on the value of structured QA practices13. Ability to manage multiple priorities14. Experience working with billing and A/R systems is preferred15. Ability to produce high quality work with limited supervision16. Strong experience using HP Quality Center 17. Healthcare industry experience is preferredQA Automation - Additional Qualifications/Skills Required:18. Proficiency in developing scripts in QuickTest Pro19. Proficiency in Visual Basic or VBScript20. Proficiency in Quality Center workflow development and administration21. Ability to understand complex technical environments quickly22. Experience with HP LoadRunner is preferred23.
