Quality Assurance / Database Coordinator

Location: Boston, MA 02118 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Biotech/R&D/Science Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level:Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Chief, Section of Trauma and Administrative Director, coordinates and executes all activities necessary in maintaining the Surgery Department’s Trauma database to include the computer system; local area network; software installation; systems management analysis; assisting in the coordination of clinical research studies and assisting in the coordination of all departmental quality assurance activities. QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:Work requires a Bachelor’s Degree with three years of full-time professional experience and familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding methodology. Work requires advanced communication skills to understand research study terminology, personal computer database functions and specifications. Work requires the analytical ability to convert database inquiries into specifications for retrieval, analysis and presentation of data; to coordinate clinical studies and interpret various regulations pertaining to clinical trials. Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with department physicians and staff, hospital staff and medical school staff in order to assist users with data needs and problems.  Interpersonal skills are also needed to conduct clinical interviews with patients and maintain appropriate patient conduct throughout the clinical trial period. Work requires that the candidate should be an intelligent, self-motivated individual, who has strong organizational skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Contact InformationCompany: Boston Medical Center Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: 0800254 Learn more about Boston Medical Center View all "Boston Medical Center" jobs
