Quality Assurance Nurse-RN

Our Medicare Certified Home Health Dept. seeks energetic candidates for our growing agency. Experience in home care preferred. The Quality Assurance Nurse-RN would be responsible for assuring that standards of care delivery are being maintained by monitoring records, coaching staff, and by using the continuous quality improvement process.  Some of the responsibilities are: Reviews documentation including IEP’s, Medical Updates, Therapy Orders, Initial Therapy and Social Work progress notes submitted by all home health providers to evaluate regulatory compliance and quality assurance. Identifies problem areas and instructs providers in the area of documentation skills and regulatory updates. Assists Clinical Supervisor with the implementation of staff development processes. Serves as a resource to Clinical Supervisor; Manager and Clinical Staff. Conducts orientation of new professional providers to documentation guidelines and requirements. Reviews bills for compliance with frequency and services ordered. Monitors and evaluates all aspects of care delivery to assure that Continuous Quality Improvement action plans are implemented and monitored. Participates on a rotating basis in 24 hour office coverage primarily for patient emergency and questions.  Qualifications for the position are:  Knowledge of philosophy, principles and practices of public health and its application to home health nursing.   Ability to effectively deal with multidisciplinary health care providers.   Knowledge of participatory management practices.   Knowledge of Medicare documentation regulations.   Ability to work independently.  A RN license in the state of PA is required.  Countless benefits and unlimited opportunity- that’s what you’ll find at Ann’s Choice.
