Quality Initiatives Manager

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) has a great career opportunity in downtown Chicago.
The Manager will monitor trends in quality and performance measurement and represent the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association on quality policy issues at national quality meetings and forums; will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and the results of cross-departmental projects that are highly visible and important to the Office of Clinical Affairs (OCA) quality agenda.

Required basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Health, business or related field or equivalent experienceMinimum ten years’ related experience with five plus years in the managed care industry, focusing on quality improvement and the use of clinical performance measuresMinimum of three years experience managing projects that require cross-departmental functionality

Preferred basic qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of health plan, hospital and physician performance measurementExcellent written and oral communication skillsSuperior presentation skills with the ability to synthesize message to different audiences of various levelsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually or within a teamAcademy for Healthcare Management or other industry-related certification
