(Part-time)

 

The successful candidate will confer with medical staff and other members of the health care team to promote optimal patient care. Responsibilities include identifying patients at nutritional risk, completing nutritional assessments as needed, developing and implementing nutritional care plans, and assisting the physician in prescribing a diet. The Registered Dietitian will also interpret the physicians’ diet orders accurately and modify the therapeutic menus to comply with the patients’ preferences within the limitations imposed by the diet order. Additional duties include evaluating existing policies and procedures and making recommendations for revisions or additions to improve service to assigned patients and clients. 

 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or Food-service Management from an accredited program. Must possess a current license with the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition (NCBDN).
