RESEARCH MGR -- Transplant Research

Baylor Health Care System (BHCS) has long been committed to the promotion of research on its campuses. In its endeavor to provide a cohesive and coordinated research effort at BHCS, Baylor Research Institute (BRI) seeks to identify and pursue unique research opportunities. The staff of BRI works with the staff of all BHCS entities to develop and promote medical research from the bench to the patient. Assisting staff in contract negotiations of clinical trials and identifying funding opportunities for research and inventions are part of the many services offered. In addition to providing these services to the physicians and scientists involved in research at BHCS, BRI has set its goals to advance knowledge of disease and its treatment, promote research in our clinical programs, to have results of research promptly published in excellent medical and scientific journals, and accept only high-quality research. In the process of achieving these goals, the academic environment in Baylor Health Care System has been elevated. This Research Manager position oversees administration of Transplant Research  based at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth.  Oversees staff of 12 research nurses and coordinators and plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the activities of the program.  Develops and monitors operating and capital budgets related to clinical research projects.  Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure the success of the program.  Helps ensure departmental compliance with Institutional, State and Federal regulations and standards related to Clinical Research.  In addition, the research manager also manages many of the regulatory aspects of the program including preparing IRB submissions for complex investigational drug and device trials.  2-3 Years Experience in Clinical Research; Management experience preferredEducational Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred Credentialing Requirements: RN – Texas; CCRC Preferred To apply for this position please forward your resume to James Smyda at JamesSmy@BaylorHealth.edu or call 214-820-8303.  Company: Baylor Health Care System Location: Dallas, TX Category: Biotech/R&D/Science Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff)CONTACT Baylor Health Care System Email: Apply by Email
