RIS/PACS Analyst

Cerner PACS/RIS Analyst

Interfaces with the programming departments and/or vendors as required.
Monitors system activities, resources and performance. Reboots interfaces and
examines error logs. Pulls tapes, archives all report files, and data files.

Monitors and diagnoses system problems, resolving problems according to
established policies and procedures. Documents all problems (hardware,
application, facility, etc). Takes corrective action as required and reports these
occurrences to management.

Assists users with terminal and system problems.

Runs system back-ups, job control, output and distribution.

Places equipment service calls to the respective vendors, including appropriate
follow-up.

Provides training and technical support to operations personnel, physicians, etc.
as needed.

Maintains knowledge of current operating procedures and standards.

Ensures system efficiency and security.
