RN - ACU

Utilizing the nursing process, the Registered Nurse will provide safe, quality, efficient care to patients undergoing surgical and/or invasive procedures which do not require an inpatient admission. The expectation is the patient will return home the same day having received the same standard of care, including patient education, as an inpatient. To accomplish this, the ACU nurse must be able to set priorities, reassess and evaluate her/his work flow and provide care quickly without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine. ACLS certification. At least one year staff nurse experience on a medical-surgical unit.
