Concentra is seeking to hire a RN for a full time opportunity working on-site with our client as a Corporate Disability Coordinator in Cincinnati. Requires current RN license, CPR certification and previous FMLA and/or disability case management experience. Qualified candidates will have good customer service, communication and computer skills. Previous Case Management or FMLA, LTD and STD experience is required.Basic responsibilities will be to promote health, prevent disease, and help employees cope with illness. Will be advocates and health educators for employees and families. Will develop and manage nursing care plans, instruct patients and their families in proper care, and help individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain their health.JOB SUMMARY- Review and analyze FMLA leave request forms for authenticity, validity, and completeness- Review medical information provided by the health care provider to determine the existence of a 'serious health condition' as defined by FMLA regulations- Request and obtain medical documentation as necessary from health care providers - Collects and analyze date to establish health priorities and interventions- Provides health related counseling to employees within scope of nursing knowledge and practice - Determine the appropriate leave period based on medical knowledge, experience, and documentation- Approve/deny leave requests based on facts which are presented and FMLA regulations- Function as resource to employees, supervisors, and management for all matters pertaining to FMLA and other Disability Management issues- Refer occupational injury cases and other specific trigger criteria cases to Disability Case Managers- Serve as a liaison for compliance, appeals, and complaints related to FMLA determinations- Provide consult, assistance, and support to Disability Case Managers on FMLA issues for seamless management of files- Revise FMLA documents to ensure regulation compliance per federal guidelines- Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and medical records- Assumes responsibility for own professional development and continuing education- Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:'Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state(s) of employment and practice.JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:'Minimum 1-year experience with Case Management handeling FMLA, LTD and STD preferred.DEMONSTRATED JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:'Current knowledge of laws and regulations that govern FMLA, LTD and STD.'Medical knowledge of techniques and information needed to treat human injuries/illnesses. 'Customer and personal service knowledge including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.'Knowledge of employer specific equipment, including computer software'Knowledge of human behavior and performance.'Time management; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.'Computer literacy, ability to work with computerized systems and applications'Ability to work independently.'Judgment and decision-making, skills.'Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisors, peers, or customers.'Problem sensitivity.'Excellent written and verbal communication skills.WORKING CONDITIONS:'Clinic environment within a workplace setting.'Must be able to work hours contingent on business need.
