Job Details:
Job Summary: The RN, Endoscopy/Minor Surgery provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients undergoing endoscopic and minor surgical procedures. Communicates with gastroenterologist and/or anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with procedures. Assists with maintaining equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Requirements: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine. Current BCLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification or basic EKG or Arrhythmia-Identification Certificate. At least 1 year of experience in nursing. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
