It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principals of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities. Ideal Candidate under the direction of the Operations Manager assumes responsibility for the overall Functioning of the clinical area. Coordinates and oversees the patient care practice in the unit in conjunction with the philosophy, policies procedures and program plans of the hospital. Provides direct and indirect patient care as appropriate. Collaborates with Medical staff and other members of the Healthcare team to identify needs and improve services Current NJ RN license Current BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider Current ACLS certification preferred IV Certification preferred Experience in Critical Care, ED, Cardiac Care preferred Additional certifications may be required Leadership or Charge Nurse experience preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Additional experience/training may be required based on departmental specific needs.
