Job Description Part time OR staff position for Florida Hospital Altamonte's 6-suite OR. The operating room registered nurse assists in the provision of preoperative nursing care, develops expertise and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and re-evaluating the needs, treatment and care of the age appropriate patient. The dimension of practice ranges from pre-operative assessment to intra-operative intervention on to post-op evaluation. Should be knowledgeable of the nursing process, nursing diagnosis, and the standards of care for the surgical patient. Assists with inservices and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Assists with surgical procedures in scrub/circulating duties, and supervises other health team personnel. Responsible for recording and maintaining accurate records. Assists in maintaining safe and aseptic environment for all. Assists in provision of continuity of individual patient care in the perioperative period. Skilled in providing age-appropriate care.   Requirements You must have at least 2 years of OR experinece as and RN.
