The best people, the best hospitals - they go together. Our Place The Registered Nurse opening is in our Orthopedics unitthat is part of our Medical/Surgical Department. Our Medical/Surgical department represents a diverse are of patient care including Internal Medicine and Oncology, Pediatric Orthopedics, and Surgical. The inpatient Orthopedic/Pediatrics unit is located on the 5th floor of the hospital and provides 24/7 nursing care and patient/family education to both adult and children (0-17 years of age). Major adult diagnoses are: total joint arthroplasty, spinal fusion, fracture management, hand, foot and ankle reconstruction and restoration, and sports medicine. Our major pediatric patients include: respiratory diseases (croup, bronchiolitis, asthma), gastrointestinal disorders, appendectomies and neonatal sepsis. Your Position To fulfill this role as a Registered Nurse, you'll work alongside other staff to provide compassionate health care services and procedures that include but are not limited to: spinal tap, nasal washings, intravenous catheter insertion, cardio-respiratory and oxygen monitoring, as well rehabilitation, pain management, postoperative care and discharge planning and patient/family education.
