Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing 2 plus years' in an acute care or appropriate similar setting with charge nurse or other leadership experience or may have equivalent combination of education and experience WA State RN Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Analysis/problem solving skills Proven leadership skills Ability to communicate effectively within the operating unit and management of personnel and to elicit cooperation Computer skills to include: word processing, spreadsheet and data entry Performance improvement process skills Prefer: BSN with 1 year charge nurse experience; Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Southwest Washington Medical Center, located in Vancouver, Washington, is highly acclaimed as one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals.
