RN/Transitional Care - Days

Overview: The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) designated Banner Good Samaritan as a MAGNET recognized hospital and we recently celebrated our 2nd year anniversary for recognition in Nursing excellence. The Transition center population consists of Medical Telemetry, Med/Surg population with an average 1:3 nurse to patient ratio. Transition was designed to assist the hospital with patient flow, receive admissions internally and externally. Shift: 12hrs...Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays. Responsibilities: Direct patient care. Must possess good communication skills and be able to work under pressure. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment. Must be able to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills and analyze complex data. Must be able to Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and stretch frequently; physical agility to respond in a quick manner and appropriately to respond to unexpected patient and family safety needs; perform proper body mechanics and have the ability to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair. Lift 0-50 lbs. (standard) Qualifications: Must possess a current valid Arizona RN license, CPR and ACLS. Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
