Instead, all of our revenue is used to provide patient care and to support our policy to provide care regardless of a patient's financial circumstances.Sutter VNA & Hospice is committed to being the “employer of choiceâ€� through competitive wages and benefits, flexible schedules, new technologies including laptop computerized charting, tuition reimbursement, and more!Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Manager, the Enterostomal (ET) nurse is responsible for planning and providing care for patients with complicated wounds, ostomies, fistulas, pressure sores and incontinence. The ET Nurse is directly accountable to the Clinical Supervisor and/or Manager, and may receive functional guidance from the Wound Ostomy Program Coordinator or Primary Care Clinician. The ET Nurse may also give clinical guidance to Home Health Aides and other clinical staff as appropriate.Education:RN graduate from an accredited curriculum. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health related field preferred.  Licensure:Current California RN license; current certification in wound and ostomy care (CWOCN) or enterostomal therapy (CETN); valid California drivers license with proof of current auto insurance; current BCLS/CPR certification.   Experience:Minimum of one year of recent, supervised experience as ET in acute or home care setting is preferred. One year of experience in a home health position preferred. Knowledge:Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills: with legible handwriting for documentation of patient records in a clear and concise manner.  Basic understanding of home care services, clinical standards of care and practice; must have clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide patient care consistent with the standards and regulations of Title XXII, Medicare Conditions of Participation and JCAHO home health accreditation requirements, QI outcomes/benchmarking, infection control; good understanding of reimbursement patterns for Medicare and other payors; good working understanding of budget and other financial reports. Special Skills/Equipment:Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, motivation, flexibility, energy and creativity.  Ability to form harmonious working relationships with internal and external customers.  Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills and the ability to manage resources for patient care in a cost effective manner.  Excellent collaborative and problem solving skills with customers and management.  Ability to exercise independent sound judgment in planning and providing patient care.  Demonstrated ability in physical, psychosocial, and environmental assessment skills and in implementing plan of treatment. Excellent organizational skills.  Access to a reliable motor vehicle to travel to patient sites.
