Job Description

  Performs a variety of complex duties related to medical case management.

Division:  PEHP

Department:  Quality & Benefits 

Op Unit: Case Management

 

Required Experience

  Requires considerable knowledge of community resources, benefit design; PC/Computer operations and various program applications.  Requires strong organizational and negotiating skills.  Must have the ability to interpret clinical information and assess implications for treatment.  Must possess good interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and in writing.  Must have the ability to work independently and deal effectively with workload and time deadlines.  Must be well organized and be able to manage several projects at one time.

 Degree Requirements

  Licensed Practical Nurse

 Discipline

  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)or Registered Nurse (RN); and a minimum of three (3) years of combined experience in a broad spectrum of nursing and utilization review (experience in medical case management processes and knowledge of InterQual criteria preferred); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Physical Requirements

  Physical effort is not unusual or strenuous and does not require lifting of over 20 lbs.

  Job requires no travel, with no observable hazards or threat to health or safety, and in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.

 Salary/Benefits

  $18.61 - 23.26 per hour
