RN or LPN FLOAT

Requirements: This position can be filled by either a RN or LPN.Graduate from a state accredited school of nursing with current Wisconsin licensure and two (2) years of experience preferred. Ability to utilize effective communication in patient/staff/physician relationships. Must possess the skills needed to triage crisis and non-crisis situations appropriately face to face or via the telephone. Possesses strong organization skills, ability to prioritize and work efficiently with minimum supervision. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the patient/department. Basic personal computer skills with keyboard knowledge preferred. Meets department specific competencies after one year of employment. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required Description: : The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the department. Triages telephone calls demonstrating appropriate clinical judgment and intervention according to urgency and patient needs. The RN supervises and or delegates select aspects of care to other appropriate healthcare providers based on the competency of the individual and the assessment and evaluation of patient needs. The registered nurse also assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of a physician practice/department.This is a benefit eligible position working 32 hours/week.
