This position is located in the Client Support Services(CSS) Department and reports to the CSS Supervisor/Asst.Manager. As an important integral member of the CSS Team, this position:1. Processes diagnostic and specialist referrals for Concentra Medical Centers.2. Works closely with physician(s)/physician(s) representatives, employers and payers to achieve a positive impact on the outcome cost and quality of care rendered to the injured employee.3. Maintains all referrals within appropriate networks/MSO's.4. Maintains/submits appropriate reports/logs.Major Duties and Responsibilities:1. Reviews/Processes all diagnostic/specialty/miscellaneous referral requests by Concentra Medical Centers.2. Obtains authorization for referrals and schedules appt. as appropriate.3. Assures referrals are maintained within appropriate networks/MSO's.4. Communicates with all stakeholders, payer, employer, patient as appropriate and as per protocol.5. Records all appropriate information via OA/CR module of OccuSource per Policy & Procedure.6. Builds relationships with provider and payer community.Other duties as required. Knowledge/Experience Required:1. Analytical skills and judgment evidenced by a minimum of 1 years experience or education in a medical setting/field.2. Thorough understanding of medical terminology, medical office procedures and workers' compensation regulations.3. Proficient in data entry, word processing and skilled in the use of general office equipment.4. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with persons at various levels.
