Our exceptional clinical care in the patient’s home environment not only makes us one of the leading centers of excellence, it makes us top with the people who matter most... our patients and their families.  Join the Salem Hospital Hospitality Services Division as a Registered Dietitian! The Registered Dietitian will practice dietetics in accordance with the philosophy of the standards of practice of the American Dietetic Association and of Salem Hospital's Nutrition Services Department.   Special Skills, Knowledge or Ability:  Able to demonstrate understanding of current medical nutrition therapy standards for a variety of patient populations. Displays excellent customer service skills through creative problem solving and strong verbal communication skills.  Able to work in a team environment and collaborate with others within the department/work unit as well as across disciplines. Must be able to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames usin good time management skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility as a new electronic health record system and related applications are implemented. Must be able to utilize a calculator to determine nutritional needs using standardized formulas. Must be able to understand and follow all clinical forms, menus, department policies and procedures and manual of clinical dietetics along with related references. Must understand and prepare statistical material.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree and course work meeting American Dietetic Associations (ADA) requirements.  ADA approved internship/training program required. Registration in the American Dietetic Association is required. Must be licensed in the State of Oregon to practice as a Registered Dietitian. Minimum of two years experience with responsibility for providing, managing, coordinating or supervising patient nutrition services in an acute care setting; or closely related experience is preferred.
