Looking for a RN Bilingual (English/Spanish) Field Case Manager for a permanent position covering the Columbia, MD area.  Must have active RN Licensure and are willing to take more of a clinical background; however the candidate must have worker's compensation knowledge.

SUMMARY: Responsible for assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals involved in the medical case management process. Works as an intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical care providers, employers and employees to ensure appropriate and cost-effective healthcare services and a medically rehabilitated individual who is ready to return to an optimal level of work and functioning.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years’ clinical nursing practice if Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing, OR holds certification as a Case Manager; minimum of three years’ clinical nursing practice required if Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing AND currently does not hold certification as a Case Manager.; Workers’ compensation-related experience preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Registered nurse with current license. CCM, CDMS, CRC, CRRN, COHN preferred. Pursue Case Manager Certification (CCM, CDMS, CRC, CRRN or COHN) upon eligibility. Other state licenses/certifications as required by law valid driver’s license required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years related clinical experience preferred. Prior Case Management experience preferred. Experience in rehabilitation services industry, vocational/occupational/industrial nursing preferred.  Background in state workers’ compensation law and practices desirable.

EDUCATION: Diploma, Associate or bachelors degree in nursing required. Masters level and/or advanced study in a health-related field desired.
