Registered Nurse - Employee Health/Infection Control

Overview: Platte County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Registered Nurse for Employee Health/Infection Control. This is a part-time position. This is a part time position. Responsibilities: The Employee Health/Infection Control Rn coordinates infection prevention and control activities/services for patients and health care workers. This position also has authority, accountability and responsibility for the oversight and provision of employee health services to all categories of health care workers including, but not limited to employees, physicians, volunteers and students. These services will include certain aspects of safety, risk management, human resources and worker' compensation. Qualifications: Must hold a valid Wyoming license for a Registered Professional Nurse. Bachelors Degree in Nursing, public health or experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree desired. Experiences including but not limited to epidemiology, employee health, management/leadership, and extensive clinical nursing in a multiplicity of acute cares areas preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and Employee Health (COHN-S) highly desired. Knowledge of JCAHO Infection Control/Employee Health Standards, OSHA standards, CDPHE rules and regulations and CDC recommendations highly desired. Must possess a BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, and NBR are preferred and are required with-in 1 year of employment. Effective human relation and communication skills are necessary.
