Registered Nurse--Endoscopy

Requirements: Graduate from a state accredited school of nursing with current Wisconsin licensure. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the patients. Possess organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to utilize effective and confidential communication in patient, interdisciplinary, and staff relationships. Able to maintain stable performance levels under conditions of pressure and multiple demands. Maintains current Health Care Provider Basic Life Support card. Meets all unit specific competencies within the specified time frame. ACLS within 1 year of hire. Description: Provide nursing care for patients throughout the Endoscopic experience, both ambulatory and inpatient. Prepare patients preprocedurely for endoscopic procedures. Monitor and support patient and assist physician during procedure. Provide nursing care to patient population immediately post procedure in Recovery area. Must maintain unit specific competencies. This is a casual position working between 9am and 2pm to cover breaks and lunches, as well as PTO. Rotate to shifts and areas served, rotate on call weekends or weeknights.
