Job Description:
Performs primary functions of the Perinatal Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the newborn, adolescent, and/or adult OB/GYN patient reflecting the shared vision of Family Centered Maternity Care. **Eight hours of night call required per month.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed in Massachusetts. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification. Previous labor and delivery experience preferred. The Birthing Center is a licensed Level II Maternal Newborn Service with a Special Care Nursery. Labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care all take place in a private room. The nursing focus is on the obstetric patient, normal newborn, or newborns requiring continuing care or stabilization and transfer to a tertiary care center.
