Registered Nurse - RN - Nurse Educator

Maxim Staffing Solutions, a division of Maxim Healthcare Services, is in need of a Nurse Educator RN for a full-time position at a leading Correctional Facility in Broward County.Job Summary:Plan, design, conduct and evaluate clinical educational programs, conferences, in-services and other associated activities. Develop curricula, prepare relevant presentations and materials; organize, and/or deliver and/or facilitate classes, in-services, orientations, clinicals, workshops, seminars, and other training services. Develops QI monitoring schedules and initiates appropriate follow - up. Coordinates timely reporting of pertinent QI data to the BSO through the QI committee.Essential Functions:1. Plan and design curricula for educational programs; research and define educational goals, objectives and methodologies to meet program goals.2. Determine formats and approaches to achieve program objectives; define needs of target population. 3. Coordinate activities of support staff, faculty and/or vendors engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives; manage and facilitate program activities, to include classes, in-services, conferences, seminars, clinicals, and orientations.4. Write, edit, and coordinate development of educational offering program materials, educational materials, training manuals and/or brochures as appropriate to the program.5. Collect and analyze and prepare QI data 5. Performs additional duties as assigned.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:• Ability to manage and facilitate educational programs.• Program planning and implementation skills.• Ability to design, prepare, deliver and modify course curriculum and associated aids.• Knowledge of nursing education and clinical theory and practice.• Knowledge of current and developing nursing trends, policies and procedures.• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.• Ability to foster a cooperative learning environment.• Knowledge of nursing in-service education requirements, methods and procedures.• Must be proficient using MS Excel and Word• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.Education and Experience RequirementsCurrent Registered Nursing licenseBachelor’s degree preferredCurrent CPR certificationWorking ConditionsWork is normally performed in a typical office work environmentNo or limited physical effort is requiredNo or limited exposure to physical risk.
