Better Living Now, Inc. is a leading mail order and online medical supply, DME, and pharmacy based on Long Island, New York. We are seeking team-oriented people to join our fast growing company! We are currently looking for per-diem Registered Respiratory Therapists for the New York City / 5 Borough area, and Medicare / Medicaid Billing Specialists for our Hauppauge facility location.

 

Job Descriptions

 

Respiratory Therapist

Instructs in the administration of respiratory care to patients in accordance with the written or verbal prescription of a physician. Performs in-home environmental assessments as required.

 

Requirements 3 or more years experience Self Motivated Well Mannered and Professional Excellent Verbal and Written Communication and Presentation Skills Registered as a Respiratory Therapist A bachelor's degree from a 4-yr college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a 2-yr college. Willingness to Travel

 

Billing Specialist

The billing specialist is responsible to enter, edit and transmit claims with no errors, tracks reimbursements from insurances companies and contacts patient with regard to insurance information and outstanding balances. The billing specialist is responsible to post payments to patient accounts, creates and mails claims and statements as appropriate and rebills claims as necessary.

 

Requirements The billing specialist must have working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance billing processes, eligibility and utilization guidelines. Experience in durable medical equipment, supplies and pharmacy is a plus. The billing specialist performs all stages of billing properly and is compliant with government rules and regulations including adherence to HIPAA regulations. The billing specialist should have a working knowledge and proficiency of computerized billing and be computer literate. Fastrack and AS400 experience is a plus. Candidates must have professional phone manners work well in a team environment and be self reliant, punctual and ready to work at scheduled time .
