Regulatory Quality Specialist (hospital-based, for Joint Commission and Dept of Health surveys)
Job Summary:
The Regulatory Quality Specialist leads and coordinates activities throughout Overlake Hospital for successful accrediting, licensing, and certification surveys (e.g., Joint Commission, Dept of Health, Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services). We’re seeking an individual to develop and implement systems and processes to sustain survey readiness, including the development and implementation of staff education forums and ongoing internal competency/preparedness reviews. This position interfaces with members of management from all areas throughout the hospital.
Position Requirements
The position requires a BA in nursing, medical records administration, business, or health care. Master’s preferred. Also requires 3 years clinical and leadership experience in an inpatient setting, with specific knowledge of hospital regulatory and accrediting guidelines. Ideal candidate has significant leadership experience in acute care Joint Commission, state, and federal surveys. CPHQ or CQP certification strongly desired, as is experience in clinical quality improvement work.
