 Research Analyst

 

Company Overview:

 

The company serves a consortium of the nation’s largest hospitals. Company goals center around offering solutions in three areas where quality and financial performance are intimately linked: the healthcare supply chain; performance measurement and improvement; and insurance and risk management. 

 Location: Charlotte, North Carolina 

Purpose:   

·  You will be responsible for extracting data, cleansing data, analysis of data, and data management in preparation for report development for pharmaceutical/medical device clients, other external clients (government, academic organizations, and research organizations) and for internal clients.

·  You will implement analytical strategies to support data analysis of the Informatics data warehouse for both internal and external clients, and assists the researchers in developing methods to provide methodologically sound solutions to answer client questions.

·  You will provide the quality assurance review of the data and reports, in particular providing input to modifications to our projection methodology and complex statistical analysis plans.

·  You will internally in collaboration with Researchers, Market Development Management, Product Management, Informatics IT, Data Warehouse team, and other stakeholders to ensure required deliverables are met.

 

Education & Experience Required-

 

·  Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required; Graduate degree in health care, statistics, business or IT is preferred.

·  3--5 years experience in healthcare and IT environment; similar research and analysis experience.

·  Experience working with large, complex medical data is preferred.

·  Must have the ability to manipulate data and perform analysis using programs such as SAS and SQL and Microsoft Office suite.
