Research Nurse Manager

The Research Nurse Manager serves as a member of the PPH Research Institute Executive Team.  Develops and implements clinical oversight procedures for the Research Institute. Review’s all studies for clinical integrity, needed resources for implementation, and advises the Medical Director and Investigational Review Committee.  Serves as a non-voting member of the PPH Investigational Review Committee.  Responsible for developing and implementing recruitment, selection, and the training process for clinical research coordinators and assistants.  Responsible for training and supervising clinical research coordinators and clinical research assistants.  Assists Principal Investigators in identifying and securing needed resources to successfully implement research studies.  Coordinates research education and training.  Serves as a liaison between the Research Institute, nursing, and allied health professionals.  Participates in on-going education and research as assigned.  Must perform well in high-stress, multi-tasking, and ambiguous work environments.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Follows PPH rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.  Carries out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of PPH.

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in related Field. Preferred Education: Master's Degree in related field. Minimum Experience: 5 years managing research studies, 3 years in a supervisory position. Preferred Experience: Minimum 6 months experience at PPH, Minimum 2 years teaching experience, proficient in SPSS and VELOS preferred. Certification: National certification in area of specialty or related area preferred. License: Current CA RN
