Research Scientist, Sensory Domain Manager

Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Research Institute’s Center on Outcomes Research and Education (www.enh.org/CORE ), affiliated with Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, seeks a JR or SR doctoral level scientist to join our multidisciplinary outcomes and health services research group.  MD or Ph.D in related field and 2 years of post-doctoral experience in health outcomes or related field required.

 

The scientist will provide expertise and project management to sensory domain teams within the multi-site project “NIH Toolbox for Assessment of Neurological and Behavioral Function” (www.nihtoolbox.org).  Responsibilities include managing the development of measures to assess sensory function (audition, taste and somatosensation) across the lifespan (ages 3-85).  The scientist will interact extensively with Toolbox investigators and consultants at various sites throughout the country.

 

The scientist will participate, at the co-investigator and principal investigator levels, in other CORE studies and in writing and submitting research grant proposals to external funding sources.  The scientist will be expected to disseminate research findings through scientific publications and presentations and will have opportunities to pursue individual research interests. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience, with an opportunity for a research faculty appointment.
