Research Technician

A Research Technician position is available for full-time work in a biomedical laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine studying cancer biology (specifically multiple myeloma and leukemia). The position involves a combination of laboratory managment and a research project. Responsibilities will include processing and banking samples for our tissue bank, as well as DNA PCR, subcloning and DNA maxipreps. Work will involve humane experiments with mice. Additional responsibilities will depend upon the initiative and talents of person hired. Recent college graduates encouraged, but one year of laboratory experience is required. In the past, individuals have successfully used this position to obtain experience for graduate school admission. A two-year committment is required.
