If this sounds like the next step for you in your career, we urge you to explore this unique opportunity and apply with us today! Primary Responsibilities: Business Analyst for Employer Products and Services — Reporting Applications/Services: Define data requirements based on business needs Define standard data attributes, values and product methodology  Write and test technical specs and programs Provide input for overall validity of new product concept Support data modeling design and report development efforts  Supply specifications for test data used in Parallax i application testing Business Analyst Role for New Product Development — ETL Applications:  Provide input for overall process, data quality and validity of new products Provide subject matter input for requirements gathering Provide input for data quality and data investigation tools  Supply test specs for system and user acceptance testing of application Support design of data integration methods and protocols Provide specifications for data reporting environment Project Management: Escalate risk and communicate status to Project Manager Provide input to project timelines  Ongoing communication and status to Business Services and Client Services related to data process  Client Team Support: Represent the Data Management function for New Product Development Support functional training sessions related to New Products Provide, maintain and support questions related to standard process and protocols Assist in client requests related to new products  Enhancements to existing products  Support Sales and Marketing efforts as needed including creation of demo datasets Operational Support: Transition product knowledge to Business Services Work with Business Services to identify issues or gaps related to data quality or process Support pricing effortsQualifications: At least 2 years of data integration experience specific to health care industry Expert in health care and employee productivity products/concepts related to data Disability, Worker’s Comp, Absence Management and Consumer Health Care experience a plus Basic knowledge of query tools and languages a plus (e.g. SQL) Conversant in data modeling concepts as well as experience working with a data model/data mart Ability to take business requirements and transfer into data specifications Ability to define data requirements, create test plans and evaluate results Strong analytic skills, project management skills and attention to detail required Strong problem-solving and investigative skills Teamwork and interpersonal skills required Strong leadership and coaching skills Ability to work successfully through collaborative interdepartmental processes Ability to shift priorities and multi-task Strong oral, written and presentation skills BS or BA in Business, Computer Science, Health Management or equivalent experience in the Information Technology industry UnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision, as well as a matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.  If you are interested in growing professionally within an innovative, highly respected organization, we invite you to explore this excellent growth opportunity! Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V. UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.  Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
