Program Overview:

Community Healthlink's Burncoat Family Center provides crisis stabilization and respite residential care as a safe, secure, short-term alternative to hospital treatment for children ages 4 - 18 years. The program provides both residential and day treatment programs. The program seeks highly motivated, creative and responsible individuals to join its multi-disciplinary team of service providers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

PT (32 hrs/wk - benefit eligible) Residential Counselor to Provide general supervision of children.Assist children with completing activities of daily living.Maintain environment that protects safety ad well-being of children.Lead individual and assist in group therapeutic recreational activities.Work successfully with other team members.Provide crisis intervention when appropriate.


Qualifications:I - HSD/GED required associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. II - Bachelor's degree required; degree and/or coursework in social work, counseling, psychology or related field preferred. current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered and insured automobile for work related purposes Desire to serve others required. Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and ability to contribute to team objectives required. Preference will be given to those with experience in social services and/or working with program's population.
