Residential Treatment Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide direct patient care in a supportive and empathic manner to ensure a safe, Christian-growth oriented environment by employing biblically-based, Christ-centered principles and concepts to the treatment process. Monitor patient’s meals. Report and document patient behaviors, occurrences and conditions to appropriate staff members.  Communicates effectively with patients and staff.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Educational/Experience:

  1.  Any one of the following:

A) BA in a field related to behavioral health; or

B) BA in a non-behavioral health field PLUS one year behavioral health work

  experience; or

C) AA in any field PLUS two years behavioral health work experience; or

D) High school diploma PLUS four years behavioral health work experience; or

E) High school diploma PLUS 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a

  field related to behavioral health PLUS two years behavioral health work experience

2.  Previous group experience preferred.

3.  One to two years of experience in child/adolescent population, if applicable.

4.  Eligible to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.

5.  Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Behavior Management Training.
