Our corporate office is located in City of Industry, California and has over 230 associates with current opening and is looking for a Respiratory Manager to join our team.

 

 

 RESPIRATORY MANAGER

 

General:  The Respiratory Manager is responsible for the general operation of the respiratory department including the provision and documentation of patient care, supervision, and training.

 

Responsible To:  Director of Operations

 Responsibilities

And Duties:

1.  Responsible for implementing and auditing the compliance to the corporate policies and procedures in the day to day functioning of the Respiratory Department.  This includes ensuring the department meets JCAHO guidelines and overseeing the total department operation.

 

2.  Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining department personnel.

 

3.  Assures that all department orders, visits, deliveries, service and pick-ups are handled in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.

 

4.  Advises the purchasing, marketing, and customer service departments in relation to addressing issues with Respiratory Department.

 

5.  Delegates job responsibilities and ensures that delegated tasks are carried out properly and efficiently.

 

6.  Stays abreast of regulation and administrative policy affecting funding sources for items/service provided by the Respiratory Department.

 

7.  Determines competency of staff by observation, testing, and reviewing of credentials on an annual basis.

 

8.  Assumes the role of a respiratory therapist including but not limited to scheduling and making patient and telephone calls as necessary.

 

9.  Obtains and records pertinent patient information: completes forms as dictated by company policy and procedure.

 

10.  Assumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with policy.

 

11.  Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Operations.

 Qualifications

Education/Certification:· Maintains the minimum standard required to continue current credentialing by AARC

· Completes continuing education units (CEU) as required

· Reviews pertinent industry periodicals to maintain knowledge and competency

· Leads and attends in-service on new product technology

 Qualifications

Education:

· Graduation from an accredited respiratory school.  Advances degrees are encouraged. 

· Minimum credentialing includes RRT, CRTT.

 

Experience/Knowledge:

· Minimum of three years experience clinical experience in respiratory therapy patient care.

· Must possess and display sound clinical judgment.

· Computer literacy and good communication skills required.

· Ability to develop, organize, and coordinate paperwork flow.

· Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing and to work effectively with a wide range of people, including referral sources, patients/clients, service agencies, co-workers, and management.
